Meridian hosts Trash or Treasure curbside event

MERIDIAN, Idaho (CBS2) — The City of Meridian is hosting its annual Trash or Treasure event from April 30 to May 1.

Residents can put clean, gently-used items such as furniture, home decor and toys on the curb, and then other residents can look through them and take what they want.

People planning on setting out items need to register online so they can be added to the event's treasure map.

Any items remaining after the vent can be donated.

“I am excited that Trash or Treasure has grown over the years to an outstanding city-wide community event. By providing residents the opportunity to repurpose and reuse items, this event helps reduce items being sent to the landfill,” said Sayard Schultz, City of Meridian's solid waste coordinator.
