The identities of six more Lahaina residents who died in the recent West Maui fire were released by Maui County and the Maui Police Department on Wednesday.

They are: Tau Ponali, 66; Valerie Kauffman, 78; Salvador Coloma, 77; Carlo Tobias, 54; Albert Kitaguchi, 62; and Lynn Manibog, 74. All are from Lahaina.

Maui police also corrected the previously reported age of Freeman Tam Lung, whose name was released Tuesday. After verification, police confirmed that his age was 80 years old.

The total number of fatalities in the fire remained at 115 as of Wednesday evening.

So far, 27 individuals have been identified and their families notified.

Maui police said that another 22 individuals have been identified, but their families have not been located or notified.

Officials have been calling for family members who are searching for loved ones to submit DNA samples at the Family Assistance Center at the Hyatt Regency in Kaanapali. The DNA samples will help identify victims as the FBI and Maui police work to narrow down a list of missing people that was estimated at 1,000 to 1,100 as of Tuesday.
